According to me stories may help in retaining the existing fans while reels may prove more helpful in gaining new fans Personally i would prefer using both of them rather than relying on one of them.

Before anything else i will take note of relevance rather than DR or DA it would be more practical to use a site with lesser metrics but highly relevant to the niche than one with high metrics yet not relevant the metrics serve the purpose of comparisons only.

I would look into technical seo and the purpose behind the searches done by the users backlinks will be of no use if Google is unable to crawl through your website.
