I'm sorry I can't help you actually answer your question, but have you considered using Drupal Commerce instead of Ubercart? I think Commerce is more future proof and has more potential. It has a higher learning curve though, but projects like Commerce Kickstart do help a lot to get you started...

Have you got the research to back up your statement? I have read about G+ having some value, though it's certainly not a big influence. I myself haven't done the research so I'm not saying it's true or false, but seemingly you know more, can you prove it?

I just tried again after a few hours and it works perfect now. Apparently it was something temporary, thanks for taking the time to react though :) EDIT: it worked 1 time and gives a status 400 error when it tries to post the second article... I don't get it, it works perfect with wordpress
