I‘m one of those guys with a „cool site“ which is really helpful for users but vanished from the index. I started accepting things now and no longer hoping for automatic recovery due to a bug or sth else.
At the moment the team is working on adjustments for all the 300 articles in terms of...
I wouldn’t republish everything because many signs point to the content being the cause of the problem (super-picky-Spam-Filter by Google that definitely needs adjustment)...

Absolutely the same in my case. The sitemap problem is the same but I didn’t use an indexer... I have no clue at all what this is and why it happens... I searched for similarities among others on this forum (content/affiliate/CMS/yoast/domain age/links) but it really appears to be random...
That is exactly what I did. with my site. Each of these steps is within every article. Nevertheless the traffic is almost at zero (from 5K organic users/day) because every page seems to be deindexed. I found lots of spam sites copying my content and some bad backlinks to my site from forums...
Slowly but steady I start to think the same... You guys think a 301 would not be safe in the long run? I’m thinking of deindexing/deleting the site and republishing the content on a new site - knowing that it might take some time to get any rankings back.
But since my old site already is...
Thanks for the insight. Hope you don’t mind answering some more questions :-) How big was the drop back then? Is the traffic now equal to the beginning of November - like a full recovery? What kind of site is it? Whitehat? Age of the site?
I can relate to your anger really well... Let’s hope for the best... Did you reach out to Google in any way with this problem? (Webmasterforum/Twitter...)
Totally agree... I was hit the same way and until now my traffic is almost at zero (from 5K users per day). Whitehat and quality content - so smart Google!!!!
Anyone with the same problems recovering yet?
Wow. My three best articles (10K or even more visitors per month each) are deindexed and when I search for content I find tons of duplicate sites from Eastern Europe on page 1. What to do against this?
