So this year i have probably made around 900 from amazon affiliate. I have spent probably around 700$ due to paying for content and hosting and other things. Anyone have any idea how taxes work with it? I'm in the U.S . I looked around online but pretty much no information on amazon...

Would a backlink from https://www.engadget.com/public-access/ be worth 200$? I got my website posted on there and check the page source and it does direct to my website and it shows that its do follow. But since it's on public acess I dont know if that would make a difference?
