I send the limit daily on 4 different accounts on the same ip, the biggest account is 7800 and over 2 years old, the 2nd biggest is 1800 and almost a year old, then i have 2 accounts that are both around 4 months old (but had no followers until I just started following/unfollowing 3 days ago)...

It doesnt follow exactly 500 a day, it follows a random number between 200-500, and takes atleast an hour to do so. theres a 10-30 second gap inbetween follows, not just 500 being followed in 5 minutes

Im currently using 4 accounts, each account is following a different users followers. Were u sending the max each day? Also were you unfollowing everyone or just unfollowing those who didnt follow you back?

What are twitters limits now? Is it still 1000 follows/unfollows a day?
