The most common sense article I've read since the recent google update

I came across this article and thought it provided a very insightful, logical, explanation for all the craziness we've been seeing lately. I'm not sure if anyone already posted it, but it definitely belongs here...

    Permanently Closed Marketplace Sales Thread

I'm interested in your vps, but have a couple questions (I ready most of the posts and didn't see anyone ask): can these vps' be used for bulk email marketing? Also, are there any limitations / requirements on how long the vps will remain running if you aren't connected to it? In other words...

[Full Blue Print]How I ranked for a 30k exact match very difficult keyword in 4 months.

I think a lot of people are just wooed by the graphs and numbers, and forget to read what the information is telling them.

What would you do with a site that had 150+ hits a day

Hey now, you gotta start somewhere, right? :D but yeah... 150 visits per day won't really bring home the bacon...

Google is truly F***ed up - See this image

I've noticed a lot of craziness in my niche as well. I was ranking #2 for a variety of keywords in my niche, but have dropped and am no higher than 5 for any given phrase. The #1 spot is now occupied by a crap site that has an EMD, but almost no backlinks at all. None of the backlinks have...

Senuke - Images in Social Networks?

That's why I suggested doing a google image search to scrape for a handful of different images. After you have all of your image URL's, you'll want to use html in the post, and spin the src attribute. For example: <img src="{imgUrl1|imgUrl2|imgUrl3|etc}" /> This way, you'll post a random...

Senuke - Images in Social Networks?

I've wondered this myself, and one of the workarounds I had was to do an image search on google, find a bunch of images that seemed good to use, collect their URL's, then spin the src attribute with the different URL's (don't wrap the image in a link). There were a couple things that...

    BH VPS with pre-installed scripts?

A couple months ago I was looking for the same advice, and from what I read (pretty much everywhere, across the board) is that BHTDownloads is a complete rip-off. I know that doesn't tell you a good place to go, but it does narrow down your options a bit.

    For Html and PHP coders..

I use dreamweaver, but mainly just because I like the code recognition / color-coding / code-hinting. I never use the "design view", which is complete shi7 as far as I can tell. I'm honestly ashamed to tell my coder friends I still use dreamweaver, because you immediately are given the "look...

I can't tell if you're trolling, and I don't mean to fart in your cereal, but there's a lot of things on your site that could use improvement. I'm not going to get into a whole lot of detail, but here are a couple things that hit me first: -dark blue anchor text on a black background -poor...

    Anyone had experience with BlueHost?

Bluehost is great; I use them for all of my legit sites. Don't use them if you plan on doing anything with your hosting account that involves possibly running scripts / programs that will hog resources. on a shared server; they do crack down on people that abuse shared resources.

scrapebox - home PC vs. VPS

I totally agree with you; I personally know people that seem to fall into this camp and have been telling me to not bother. Although I don't consider them to be newbies at SEO (they're actually unbelievably successful in their own pursuits), SB just wasn't the tool for them. I agree that...

One thing that hasn't been addressed yet; is it safe / effective to use HMA VPN instead of investing in private proxies? Thanks a lot everyone; this thread has been really helpful.

scrapebox - home PC vs. VPS

Exactly. That's really the point of this thread; I want to take the first steps, but if you check out all the information that's out there, not many people really address that. I'm looking to take those first steps, but as with anything new; mistakes are going to be made along the way. I...
