Note: The update is still not fully rolled out. I will update this thread again if there is a rollback
How is everyone doing? So far, we have seen 50% drops across the portfolio and Reddit/quora/stack exchange, cleaning up the SERPs and sites with very loose relevance and authority jumping...
Just evolution. I don't think info queries will die immediately; I think they will be spanked just like when featured snippets happened; everyone lost a bit of traffic, but it wasn't the death of SEO and info sites.
I think Bard will be the same; maybe info queries will lose 10-50% of traffic...
Portfolio of 8 sites
My whitehat sites are up 20% on average; this is pretty big for some really big sites.
My pbn sites are all down (it may just be a big coincidence, all the people selling pbns in their footer banner. Please don't spam me with hate ;))
Googles going to have to pivot its algo to 50% bounce back to search as its top signal. Only way to find out if content was crap with all this chat gpt fluff flooding the SERPs, god help us all.
My no backlinking case study site has 600 referring domains on ahrefs in 8 months, I have never built a backlink. This could be completely natural from random junk sites and have nothing to do with paid links.
Turkish google search is a unicorn in how easy it is to game. It is insane and probably the lowest competition easiest to game search out there. I had a ten-page website getting 5000 clicks daily as an experiment using onsite optimization in the graphics design niche. I forgot the name, but...
Easy fix for this its called caching. Cache old queries and then do a service like google plus for youtube, where you pay monthly to use it restriction free.
There are so many ways to monetize. I think we're fine for 3+ years, took people many years to move from radio to using tv, and even now...
With the flood of AI in the short term, I feel like they would pump the backlinks signal a little higher. I see backlinks dropping a lot in the long term as user metrics will probably take over as their machine learning can understand if a site's content is good; currently, though it's...
Interested to see your results, especially for whitehat. I have started to slow down, split my article load across more sites, and add more link-building. But at this point feel like I'm throwing ish at the wall and hoping it sticks since sites are plateauing rather quickly.
Noone's going to show you or dox their sites. Your the man, but I don't want you even accidentally remembering my niche a month later and flooding it with ai paa :D
I am seeing a stagnation effect for a few of my PAA whitehat sites that were hit (25% down). I have a few English writers trained to cover the topic and be better than #1. I would say they are 8/10 in quality by far better than anything that's already in the results I target keywords for. My...

Google is taking some whitehat sites from 100% traffic to 10%, then back to 100% month over month. If you want to defend them at this point and say they have any idea of what they're doing you are insane. Through their rankings they have told us on a monthly basis they have no idea...

Typical user blueprint I see alot of here - Make a lot of howto content with SEO basics, never giving away anything too specific. I.E - How to do Haro, literally 1000 free guides out on this now. Do this until your high rep. Change your banner and start selling products. Jab Jab Right Hook -...
Really didnt care before about him, had a SEO site that offered SEO services that were just overpriced resells but now I'm interested enough to join his newsletter to see that email lol.
This update is completely drunk as of now. One of my best-written content sites somehow lost 75% of traffic today. Google has gotten lost in spaghetti code and is pushing crap to justify its large amount of employees jobs. Its honestly a complete mess right now. I wouldn't be surprised if this...
