Hi, I just started learning web development about 2 weeks ago and finished HTML course from FreeCodeCamp.

I had some question that how web developers do work now? I mean they tell the AI to make the whole code and then they just manually fix the code or they just do the code manually?

Congrats on finishing the HTML course! Most devs today use both. They let AI write small parts or boilerplate, then check and fix it by hand, but you still need to know the basics to spot mistakes. So keep coding manually while you learn, and use AI to explain things, not to do everything for you.

Usually you should have a very good knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript in order to understand and rewrite the code that the AI outputs. So yes you can use an AI to create a website but you'd have to know the code at a very good level to make changes on your website or blog. What is more it may be to your interest to use WordPress and elementor since those they don't require a lot of coding knowledge.

Thanks for the tips

Most developers use a mix of both now. AI helps speed things up, but you still need to understand the code to fix bugs and make things work properly. Keep learning the basics first.

For example, I build websites using AI. I handle the finishing touches myself—installing plugins, writing text, and crafting headlines. I don’t write code; the AI does most of the work. Nowadays, you don’t need to be a coder to create websites. You just need to know how to provide the right prompts to an AI assistant.

I’ve started using AI more actively for coding over the last few months. It can save time, but I still need to guide it clearly and check the logic instead of accepting the whole result blindly. For anything important, I review the critical parts and test the actual flow in a browser or against the API. Learning the basics makes it much easier to spot when the AI is confidently wrong.
