SEO takes time, but how long should you wait before making changes? If a page isn't improving after several months, what's the first thing you check before changing your strategy? I'd love to hear your experiences.

Depends what youre measuring it against.

If impressions are going up and clicks arent, thats a titles and intent problem more than a strategy one. Id fix that first and leave the plan alone.

If nothing has moved for months on pages that are indexed and getting crawled, then yeah, something in the plan is off. For me its usually the keywords picked at the start, not the execution.

What are you seeing in Search Console right now?

imo i give a page like 3 months before i call it dead lol, if impressions are climbing but clicks aren't then it's usually the title or intent mismatch tbh

I usually give it 3–4 months, but before making changes I would check search console. sometimes the page is getting impressions but just isn't getting clicks. That tells you a lot.

It means the page is not fitting the search results.

In order to rank, page must offer something other top 20 search results do not.
