451 is not always originating from the domain itself, but can be a geo-block by the hosting company or CDN service. i have had similar problems before so i would first check the response headers nd then try the same URL through proxies in different countries. that should help identify whether it is server settings or a country-level block.HTTP Error 451

Is there any way to bypass this or resolve the issue?
before testing with a vpn you can check from many countries at once with something like check-host.net, it sends http requests from a few dozen locations and shows the status code each one gets. if only some countries get 451 and the server header is your host or cdn, it's their rule, not an isp blockHTTP Error 451

We provide a service that shares sports prediction information. While we do not have a platform for cash transactions, we do operate a sports-related section where users can place bets using points. We have explicitly labeled this as "simulated betting"—could this potentially be a cause for legal restrictions?before testing with a vpn you can check from many countries at once with something like check-host.net, it sends http requests from a few dozen locations and shows the status code each one gets. if only some countries get 451 and the server header is your host or cdn, it's their rule, not an isp block
also check your own stack. some hosts and geo blocking plugins use 451 for blocked regions, so look at the waf or geo settings before assuming it's a legal complaint
Check the geo blocking and firewall settings then contact your hosting provider to identify the exact restriction and possible solution.HTTP Error 451

it can, the label alone doesn't protect you. most gambling laws check three things: do users pay to play, is the outcome chance based, and is there a prize of real value. points that can't be bought and can't be swapped for cash, gift cards or merch usually stay outside that, but a paid tier that gives extra points or a leaderboard with real prizes can be enough to count as gambling in a lot of placesWe provide a service that shares sports prediction information. It appears that the domain in question is being blocked via SNI. Are there any technical methods to bypass this?it can, the label alone doesn't protect you. most gambling laws check three things: do users pay to play, is the outcome chance based, and is there a prize of real value. points that can't be bought and can't be swapped for cash, gift cards or merch usually stay outside that, but a paid tier that gives extra points or a leaderboard with real prizes can be enough to count as gambling in a lot of places
the more likely cause of a 451 though is automated filtering. some countries block whole categories, so a page full of "bet", "odds" and "place bet" gets classed as a betting site without anyone checking if money moves. affiliate banners for real bookmakers next to the simulator make it worse, since that counts as gambling promotion where ads are banned
check which countries return the 451 and who sends it. if it's your host or cdn you can ask them which rule triggered, if it's an isp block on the whole domain, renaming the section to predictions or pick'em and removing bookie links is a good start before appealing to that country's regulator
Yeah, that's what I would do first as well, since 451 requires much more than just fiddling with some servers here and there. It also demands to know the exact legal limitation and its regional applicability.HTTP 451 generally indicates that access has been restricted on account of some legal reasons first i would consult the host and find out about which countries are blocked and why in case there is a mandatory restriction then it would be wise to find out what it is and deal with it
