Hey everyone,

I’m generating leads for local home service contractors across multiple US locations, mainly in garage door repair, chimney services, locksmithing, and plumbing. I already have contractors buying calls, so my main challenge is getting a consistent flow of qualified leads.

So far, I’ve built five SEO-focused websites across different niches and locations. They bring in a few leads, but the volume is unpredictable. My initial goal is to reach at least two qualified calls per day.

I’ve been considering buying an aged Google Business Profile and maintaining it alongside my websites. Has anyone here tried this? I’d like to hear about the results and any risks or issues you ran into.

Paid ads are another option, but I’m hesitant because of the costs and competition in these niches. I’d prefer to grow through organic channels if possible.

For those with experience in local SEO or pay-per-call lead generation, where would you focus your efforts at this stage? Would you keep building out the websites, focus on GBP, or try another approach?

I’d appreciate hearing what’s worked for you, especially if you’ve managed to generate steady call volume across multiple locations.

I'm very involved in this niche, but mostly on Google Ads.
From there, garage doors are a pain because of the advanced verification accounts need, but the rest are pretty straight forward.

Hey, how would you start Google Ads?
Have you tried establishing GBP or buying an aged one?

I haven't tried GBPs, that's not really my thing.

I'm usually hired by the company to run their own Google Ads account, so that's where my experience comes from.

If you decide to give PPC a shot, I'd be happy to share some beat practices in DM.

Hi, Good luck for your journey. I am following it now. I have been doing these for couple of years and is my primary income. GBP > anything in this business. I wonder where do you get gbps from/

hey mate' there is some suppliers in this forum who sells gbp i wonder how do you get your gbp :)

An aged GBP might look like a shortcut, but the verification and ownership issues could create problems later. Partnering with an actual local contractor and managing their verified profile with permission seems more sustainable. Google is strict about lead gen profiles, so eligibility matters more than account age.

What i have seen in R&R is a numbers game. The more R&R businesses you create, the more chances you have to generate calls for them.

If you could sell leads to direct business owners, that would be more beneficial because 3rd-party platforms like LeadSmart pay based on each qualified call, and revenue could be lower for some niches.

Let's say you are doing R&R in the roofing or general contractor niche. If 1 lead is converted for them, then it will be worth $$$$. And they will pay good money for that.

Also, you can do a rev-share business with them if you can sort out how you would track jobs and payments.

And Good Luck on your journey.

hey mate thank you for replying , i have direct access to many local buisness and we are doing rev share , as of now my problem is to generate consistent leads since im relying only on the R&R

whats the method you recomend for creating GBP's
Get Appeal-approved listings if possible. They work long-term and have fewer chances of getting suspended, and you will get your money back with just 1 or 2 leads, and the rest of the leads will be just profit.

I have a few listings that I have been using them for about a year, and they are still working fine.

The only con with this is that you can't get your own business name or address. You have to work with the existing one. Otherwise, it's perfect if you can rank and sell leads to a direct buyer.

how do you find those appeal- approved listings?
its not a problem for me to wokr with different name of business

A GBP may not help you much since the history may affect your current reality. But if you must check its history properly and the terms of use.
