Why do some TikTok videos get thousands of views while others on the same account barely get any?

I have noticed that some videos get many views while others get very few, even when posted on the same account. Why does this happen? Does the type of video or the time it is posted make a difference? I would like to hear other people's thoughts and experiences about this.

Check out the stats for these videos. Look at the watch time-the longer it is, the more actively TikTok promotes your videos

Funny thing is, even two videos posted on the same day can get completely different results. One might catch people's attention straight away, while the other gets skipped. The topic and opening seconds can make a big difference. Posting time is worth testing too.
