Automation sends messages.
Manual outreach builds relationships.

Which one do you rely on?

Manual outreach always gives stronger results because real conversations build trust and better placements. Automation is fine for volume, but it can’t match genuine relationship-building. In the long run, personalized outreach brings higher authority and more consistent link quality.

Automation can save you time, but its effectiveness is limited. It’s better to take a manual and proactive approach.

manual outreach is what actually builds trust, earns replies, and get real link opportunities

I choose to combine both approaches, but prioritize a manual approach to build lasting trust with customers. I use automation for searching, categorizing and sending initial greetings to save time. However, answering questions, making consultation calls and writing strategic content that truly resonates with customers and creates deep connections can only be done effectively through a manual approach.

Automation is just for scaling noise, but manual outreach is where you actually build the connections that convert. If you want real authority and long-term results, you have to put in the time to make things personal

Manual outreach is a tedious activity but the real personalization and outcome we receive is through this activity. Keeping a whole lot of data of the urls and messages becomes difficult in long run. Follow-up with the outreach people also help to keep the links active.

Personalization alone isn't enough. Outreach works better when there's a clear reason for the site owner to care, like a useful resource that fills a gap in their existing content. Mentioning someone's name or website in an email doesn't automatically make it valuable.

I prefer manual outreach for building proper connections. Automated messages can save time, but most people can spot a copy-paste message straight away. A genuine message that shows you've looked at their site feels much better.

manual outreach wins for me every time lol, automated blasts just burn domains. one real reply from a site owner beats a hundred templated emails imo
