My website is almost 5 year old on biking/cycling niche ...which I was planning to sell but since it doesn't earn much it's not selling as buyers are saying it's very tough niche, hence i am planning to update content.
What's your suggestions how should I go about this website... guidance is needed ...i don't know how to proceed.

Note : i have hired a guy in fiverr who either gets my monthly earning to 50$/month or sells it in excess of 2500$ it's been 2 years, i am waiting for him to do any of two job. Since I cannot and will never withdraw as he have worked hard on website gig is 550$

Agree on a clear deadline and measurable deliverables, and make sure you control the domain, hosting, analytics and Search Console access.

Before rewriting everything, check Search Console for pages getting impressions, queries and declines. Refresh the pages with existing demand first, then focus the site on a narrower cycling audience and useful buying/maintenance content with a clear monetization plan. If you share traffic, earnings and top pages, people can give more specific advice.

How is the site earning now—ads or affiliate links? If it's affiliate income, check whether the recommended bikes and parts are still available and the links still work. Updating a guide won't help sales much if readers keep landing on out-of-stock products.

Does your site have regular monthly visitors? If it's just the content and it's not getting traffic, I'm afraid it's not worth much.

If you are going to add more content, try to find an underserved niche with buying intent like articles about components that are not Shimano or SRAM like Box and MicroShift.
