Case study #1: Seoul cafe, local search
The challenge:
A café in a busy Seoul district had its main local search terms sitting at positions 13 to 20 on Google. People searching for a café in the area were finding competitors first.
What we did:
We worked on the café’s local search visibility, building the signals Google uses to decide which cafés to show for “cafe + area” searches.
The results:
- Rank 19 => #1 on Google for a 590-searches/month local keyword
- Rank 20 => #1
- Rank 13 => #2 on two related keywords
All three tracked keywords now sit in the top two positions. Local searches like these come from people who are close by and ready to visit, so a top position matters more than the search volume suggests.
Progress over time:
Visibility and estimated traffic grew steadily over about months, with no sharp drops. Estimated monthly traffic rose from about 5 to about 150, and the trend is still moving up.
Case study#2: App and website brand
The challenge:
The brand had four key search terms (its name, registration, app, and download keywords), and all four were outside the top 50 on Google. Its customers were searching for it and not finding it.
What we did:
We worked on the site’s brand, sign-up, and app-download searches, building the visibility needed to rank for the terms people use when they are ready to register or install.
The results:
- Rank 50+ => #7 for a 2.2M-searches/month brand keyword
- Rank 50+ => #9 for an 8,100-searches/month app keyword
- Rank 50+ => #5 and #10 on two related sign-up and download keywords
All four tracked keywords reached the top 10. These are brand-led terms, which are easier to win than generic searches, but one of them has over 2 million monthly searches, so the visibility is substantial.
Progress over time:
Visibility peaked in spring, dipped mid-year as competitive markets often do, and is now rebuilding, with estimated traffic back to around 65K and rising.
