Hey all, I've been lurking for a bit and finally made an account. My day job is around proxy infrastructure and web scraping, so mostly rotation, session handling, blocks and retries, that kind of thing. Here to learn how people actually use proxies in the wild and to answer what I can in the Proxies section. Looking forward to being part of the community.

Welcome! i’m pretty new to the forum too, but i’ve been working with proxies for a while, so always nice to see more people around who actually deal with this stuff. curious what gives you more headaches day to day, session handling or blocks and retries? see you in the proxies section

Welcome. Proxy infrastructure is one of the jobs will most likely will not be replenished and will still require into the future. Maybe get some ideas from forum and then create better service/product

Thanks all. V, the biggest change I've seen is that the IP alone isn't enough anymore. Targets check TLS and HTTP/2 fingerprints, so a plain python requests client gets flagged even on a clean residential IP. Most people either run a real browser (playwright with some stealth patching) or use an http client that copies a browser's TLS handshake, and keep the full browser for pages that really need JS since it's a lot slower per page. On the proxy side I keep sticky sessions for anything with a login or multi step flow and rotate per request on plain listing pages.
Proxyhub33, blocks and retries for sure. You can design session handling once, but blocks differ per target, so you end up tuning backoff and retry rules site by site. Retrying on a fresh IP after a short random delay works way better than hammering the same one, imo.
