can i use proxies on iphone?

Yes, you can.
But.
Here is what concerns me. I've never heard of Brave being considered an anti-detect browser.
If you're asking this, I’d recommend looking a bit deeper into anti-detects before doing whatever it is you need them for.
Yep brave is NOT an anti detect browser.

do i also need good browser while using said proxies?

people talking about antidetect browsers.. is brave good?

please help im new
Yes, you can use proxies on iPhone. For normal browsing, Safari or Brave is fine. You only really need an antidetect browser if you're managing multiple accounts and need separate fingerprints

brave is fine as a browser but it doesnt do what antidetect browsers do, no separate profiles, no fingerprint control. one or two accounts, normal browser plus a decent proxy is enough. multiple accounts, you need an antidetect one. gologin is what i use, the others are similar, the browser matters less than the proxy and how you use the account

Hey, I work with proxies every day, so here’s the simple version.
Yes, you can. The easiest way is built in: Settings > Wi-Fi > tap the (i) next to your network > Configure Proxy > Manual, then enter the server, port and username/password from your provider. Two catches though: it only works on that Wi-Fi network, not on mobile data, and it only supports HTTP proxies, not SOCKS5.
If you want it working everywhere, including mobile data and SOCKS5, use an app like Shadowrocket. It sends all your phone’s traffic through the proxy, not just the browser. That’s what most people end up using.
About the browser: Brave is a privacy browser, not an antidetect browser. Antidetect browsers like AdsPower or Multilogin are desktop tools for running lots of separate profiles, so if you’re just browsing or using one account you don’t need one. Also, on iPhone pretty much every browser runs on Safari’s engine under the hood, so switching browsers won’t change much.
Whatever you go with, check your IP after connecting. Use any “what is my IP” site plus a leak test to make sure it shows the proxy and not your real IP. And get proxies with user/pass login and decent residential or mobile IPs. Free proxies are slow and usually already burned.

the built-in proxy settings on an iPhone only work with WiFi. if you want to use the proxy over mobile data as well, you'll need something like Shadowrocket or a VPN profile. also remember that setting a proxy doesn't guarantee every app on the phone uses it.

If you’re multi-accounting definitely setup proxies on your phone, and make sure you’re properly managing IPs/fingerprints across those accounts so all of them run isolated.

Short answer is yeah, much as like everyone else pointed out, you pretty much can. For iPhone in particular it can feel a bit confusing finding the relevant settings, but once you do it's pretty straightforward from there.
You can also use browsers that support their own proxy settings if you don't want the rest of your device using the same proxy connection.
And yeah, Brave is pretty good in general. Just keep in mind it's a privacy-focused browser rather than an actual antidetect browser, so those are two slightly different things.

I tried proxies connecting through a router in my office and then switching the settings manually to get proxies on my iPhone. Does that work or do you have any other steps to try ?

1.Shadowrocket
2.Super Proxy
3.Potaso app

For using proxy in iphone you can use any of them. those are my favourite.

Are you sure they 100% work? Just because I have heard that buying a specific router and then connecting the proxy to the router cannot get traced. Is this true?

No—routing through a proxy-enabled router does not make an iPhone untraceable. It changes the IP seen by sites only for traffic that actually uses that route; app traffic outside it, account logins, cookies and browser identifiers can still link activity. Check the exit IP in the exact app and network you use.

One thing nobody mentioned, the built in iOS proxy setting is per wifi network (Settings, Wi-Fi, the i next to the network, Configure Proxy). It only does HTTP/HTTPS, so no SOCKS5, and it does nothing at all when you're on mobile data. Some apps also ignore the system proxy completely, so you can think you're proxied and not be.
If you need SOCKS5 or want it to work on cellular, you'd use an app that sets up a local VPN profile and routes traffic through the proxy. Whichever way you go, check your IP on a what's-my-ip page afterwards, and also look for DNS or WebRTC leaks, since that's where people usually find out it wasn't working.
