I agree. I get several emails daily from people cold emailing me offering AI related SEO services. Optimizing your site for LLMS is an absolute must at this pointI wouldnt say no one abroad is interested in AI SEO, its actually getting a lot of attention in the US and Europe especially with ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews changing how people discover information.
The difference is that in China AI SEO has become a major buzzword very quickly because businesses are actively trying to optimize for AI powered search platforms and large language models, overseas the same concept is often discussed under terms like "LLM optimization", "AI search optimization" or "GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)" rather than simply "AI SEO".
So the interest exists on both sides, the main difference is branding and market focus, not the level of attention.
I think it's more about different ecosystems than lack of interest. AI SEO is growing everywhere, but strategies vary by market, search engine, and language. Why is AI SEO booming in China, while no one abroad seems interested in doing it?
It seems that one of the reasons for this may be that Chinese search engines and AI platforms work within a certain ecosystem which means that companies are able to adjust to this development more rapidly AI SEO has attracted attention even beyond China but at this point people view AI SEO as an offshoot of SEO rather than a different strategy altogether. Why is AI SEO booming in China, while no one abroad seems interested in doing it?
