Did you see an increase in traffic after you published your Chrome extension?
I'm also working on building a simple Chrome extension for my SaaS, mainly so I can get a listing on the Chrome Web Store and get some extra exposure.

Yes but it's not much traffic like a click or two per day but on the other hand when I search for my app name on google gemini now answers more precisely and it also links my free chrome extension in the answer so it MIGHT help in the long term.

Exactly, It's really good to get mentioned in aI tools. aI tools are driving almost as much traffic as Google nowadays.
Have you checked the "Links" tab and "Top linking sites" section in your Google Search Console to see if Search Console has listed your Chrome extension URL there?
