What SEO activity takes up the most of your time.

I am just wondering what activities take up most of your time. Is it the creation of content, link building, or dealing with technicalities? Would be nice to hear what others have been up to lately.
see usually link building and checking opportunities that eat up the most time. Content and technical fixes are more predictable, but finding genuinely relevant sites and quality placements can take a lot of back.

For me, link building takes the most time, especially finding quality and relevant websites and keeping everything organized.
Yes, the process of identifying good candidates actually takes up more time than just outreach. I would maintain a basic spreadsheet on relevancy, organic traffic, contacts, and whether the outreach had been completed.

Link prospecting for me. Not the buying part, finding sites that actually have real traffic and aren’t part of some obvious link farm network. You can vet 50 sites and end up with 5 that pass. That grind doesn’t go away no matter how much you automate.

For me, content creation takes the most time, especially making it actually helpful and not just AI-generated. Second is link building - finding quality links is very time_consuming. Technical SEO is less time-consuming once the initial setup is done. Currently focusing more on content + internal linking.
