Is AI SEO actually a scam or people just selling it the wrong way?

To me, AI, SEO, and GEO are honestly just words. It all boils down to the exact same thing. If your asset is ranking in the SERPs, it's going to show up everywhere in AI overviews anyway. There is no need to overcomplicate things. Good content , backlinks etc you still need them and same thing different words

To me, it sounds like a buzz word to make it seem like you're selling the hottest thing
