If you are targeting Malaysia have you found that people search more in Malay or English?

Are bilingual keywords good? Or should we focus on just one language?

if the readers use both languages i would use both but before using either of the two i would do research separately on both since search behavior differs in niches it would be better to conduct keyword volume and intent research on both

I will research both languages because the search behaviors may differ from one niche to another in Malaysia bilingual content may come in handy but before settling for it i will consider the search volume and intentions has there been any attempt to compare the results between separate pages in Malay and English?

Agreed! The best way is to do individual keyword research and compare the search intent and volume bilingual content works well depending on your niche and audience

Yes I would do keyword research for both Malay and English as search intent can vary depending on the niche creating content that's bilingual can help you target different audiences

In Penang Malaysians can easily speak 4 languages in the same 1 sentence - Malay, English, Hokkien and Tamil!
My advice would be 1 site focusing on English and 1 site focusing on Malay.
