I think the graphic design industry has already shrunk by 50%. AI can work nonstop, offer unlimited revisions, and do it at a very low cost. In many areas, there’s no longer much need for graphic designers.
I don't think so because the professional designer who combines his creativity, knowledge, good communication and have knowledge about Ai will have an advantage. The reason is that Ai can help you in simple post and ads for social media but when the design is complex the Ai will definitely make too many mistakes and the client himself can't struggle to ask the Ai to edit the design again and again because the Ai can't create it perfectly in most cases. So that's a professional designer is worth and in every era client can communicate with the designer explain him his thoughts and ideas and can ask the designer to made changes in design according to his instructions. That why I don't think that Ai can vanish the jobs or professional designers.
graphic design won't disappear; AI just automates routine tasks, I still charge $45/hour for brand-identity work after using Midjourney's $10 basic plan for concept sketches then refine in Adobe Illustrator, mastering prompt engineering keeps you relevant
Yes these days due to Ai many people who know little bit about graphic design generating their usual designs by themselves with the help of Ai. The people who have the prompting skills are also using Ai for designing by prompting it according to the requirements. But there is one thing that Ai usually makes mistakes and if you give it a long prompt it can fully generate according to prompt so step by step procedure may help. On the other hand the manual graphic designing is more creative deep and accurate you can edit it according to your needs whenever you want. So in the case of your question it can possible but a professional person never totally depends on Ai. He always want the creativity and originality in his design so we can't say that due to Ai graphic designing jobs are completely going to vanish.
