It is interesting to know how often you check the old guest posts on the website before buying links from there. Do you consider the indexing, traffic, and link life of the pages, or do you mostly care about the metrics of the website?

I’d first check if the page is even indexed and gets any real traffic. Site metrics can look great, but the actual guest post might have been collecting dust for years

But I look at the actual pages, not only the DR of the site. If the older guest posts have been indexed, are getting some traffic and are maintaining their links, then that is a far better indicator imo.

I’d check the older guest posts for indexing, organic traffic, and link quality. website metrics alone don’t always reflect the real value of a placement.

I’d check older guest posts too, especially whether they’re still indexed and getting traffic. Site metrics can look good while individual pages perform poorly, so I’d check both before paying for a placement.

The overall metrics of a website is dependent on the whether the guest posts are actually indexing, the performance of the internal and backlinks and more. So I won't just go getting a site because the DR is good, I check properly the links, the general performance of the guest posts and others.

i will check everything possible and weigh it to see if it will be profitable or not

i usually check a few existing guest posts first especially whether they’re indexed and getting any traffic website metrics alone don’t tell the full story The quality and relevance of the actual page matter too

It help me check the previou guest blog to know whether they have aged nd are indexed and getting traffic, apart from the DR score. It is useful to see whether the links are working after two months. there are websites that look promising in terms of traffic, but they do not get any traffic from the blog post at all.

one thing that i will never forget to do is look at guest posts from the past just by looking at the metrics from your website does not give you all the information you need i would also make sure that the sites are actually indexed, receive traffic and keep their links up

yeah i always check lol, if the old guest posts aren't even indexed then the new link is basically dead on arrival imo. traffic is a bonus but indexing is the bare minimum for me

i'd choose the sample URLs myself from different months in the site's archive, rather than only inspect the examples the seller sends over. otherwise you could be judging their best surviving placements. i'd also ask what happens if a post is removed or the outgoing link changes, and keep the agreed terms alongside the placement URL.

I make sure to see if previous guest posts have been over taken by new ones or not getting indexed anymore there ws no point in paying for links that get lost in a weeks tym.

After everything is ok with the indicators and all the important evaluation criteria, I check the index of the site pages to see what kind of traffic they bring.

i will probably take a look at both fresh nd old sponsored content on the website to find out whether or not there have been changes.some websites may have looked nice initially but their content quality has detteriorated due to too many ads.i think it is worth spending a bit more time on it instead of choosing just based on DR.

I starts by reviewing some of the old blog posts specifically those containing paid links. If i see a website where anything goes, so long as there is money involved then it would be better to invest the budget elsewhere.

First, I will check which keywords the website is ranking for and whether they are real keywords or just spammy and fake ones. I will also check if those keywords actually get searches on google, this will help me evaluate the quality of its traffic. Second, the website’s backlink profile to see whether it has real backlinks from relevant websites or just spammy links from fake sites.

Wait, I never thought to check whether the keywords a site ranks for are actually searched. alwaysrank just made DR feel shaky to me when those keywords turn out fake or spammy.

Absolutely, because it affects the credibility of the website where you want to publish a guest post. I always check all the important metrics and information before deciding whether to publish a post or not.
