How do you deal with TikTok videos getting copied?

I once saw a remix of my dance clip, so I added a small InShot watermark in the corner and reported the copy, but I mostly just keep filming fresh ideas.

While it's difficult to prevent video copying once it becomes a trend, the best approach is to keep the original file as proof and continuously refine your personal style to make it hard to imitate.

I'd keep creating new content but report direct reuploads when they use my original footage without permission. Similar ideas are hard to prevent, so it's worth protecting your work without letting copycats distract you from growing.

Copyright Infringement Report (DMCA Report): Report the content directly within the TikTok app by selecting the reason Intellectual property infringement or submit a formal complaint via the TikTok IP Rights Center support page

You can't prevent every copy, but building a recognizable style makes your original content easier to identify. Save proof of ownership, report direct reposts when necessary, and keep developing ideas that set your work apart.
