What Metrics Matter Most When Buying Guest Posts?

I’d check a few guest posts they published 6–12 months ago: are those pages still live and indexed? That tells you more about placement durability than DR.

Yep, DR could have a nice score while the actual content is losing its value. I would also see if the older posts are getting any organic traffic and if the links are working.

I'd put niche relevance and real organic visibility ahead of DR or other authority scores. DR and DA are third party metrics , so a high score doesn't necessarily mean the site is actually valuable or relevant to your audience , I'd check the traffic trend , relevant keyword rankings in the target GEO and the quality of the recent content , then see how many unrelated commercial sites it links to. The actual page where your guest post will sit matters too , not just the domain's headline metrics

When choosing a website for guest posting, which metrics do you prioritize: Domain Rating, organic traffic, niche relevance, or website authority? I'd love to hear your opinions.
For me organic traffic, niche relevance and website authority matter the most.

Personally, I prioritize niche relevance, genuine organic traffic, website authority, and DR alone. Quality and relevance of the website matter more than any single score.

I prioritize niche relevance and genuine organic traffic first. DR is useful as a reference, but it can be manipulated. A relevant website with real traffic and quality content is usually more valuable than a high-DR site with little organic visibility.
