Keeping a big list of sites is easy, but making sure all the details are still accurate takes time.

Sites change prices, lose traffic, stop accepting guest posts or sometimes disappear completely.

I prefer to check my list regularly so I don’t run into these issues when a client places an order.

How often do you guys check your site lists? Every month, once in a while or only when a client asks for a site?

I prefer routine audits of my site inventory, mate, with a final check of traffic, backlink profile, pricing, and availability before every order. A reliable inventory is just as important as building the links themselves.

I think checking the list only when a client orders is risky. A site can look fine on paper but lose quality over time, so I’d track changes in traffic and link profile rather than rely on a fixed monthly schedule.

I believe the best option is to do a monthly review of the primary listing but i would verify the traffic cost and availability of the website prior to using it for the client to avoid wasting your time on something that is no longer available

A monthly review makes sense, but I’d also flag sites whenever their traffic or backlink profile changes noticeably. That way, you’re not waiting for the next audit to catch a site that’s no longer worth using.

We update and verify the website metrics monthly. Every time we send a sample list to a client, we double-check the latest data to ensure the traffic, DA/DR, and other SEO metrics are as accurate and up to date as possible.

Every time when a client requirement is dropped we will check the site's current performance and if it matches as per the client requirement we will share the list as based on DA DR GEO and other aspects

Imo, usually check my list every few weeks. Traffic, pricing, and site availability change anytime, so I always double-check before placing an order. Better to catch these things early than deal with issues after client has paid.

I like to look at the site list once a month and do a quick check before making an order. Traffic, relevancy, indexing, and pricing may vary, hence the need for constant checks.

Going to start flagging sites the moment their traffic slips, thanks to mohsenjr30's idea. Waiting for a monthly check just doesn't feel fast enough when a site can fade quietly in between.

i would most likely add to my list in smaller increments rather than checking all websites from scratch each time. the websites that u visit on a regular basis should get priority, while the others should be checked less frequenttly. pricing nd traffic can change very fast. then, how do u monitor those websites that do not accept guest posts anymore?
