Sometimes everything seems great about some guest blogs, except that these websites provide writing services to people in virtually all niches. Has the value of such links declined over time or does a relevant website with traffic still make them worth buying?

A site covering too many unrelated topics makes me question how much value that link really has.

imo, just because a website covers multiple niche sites doesn’t make it an automatic warning sign, but I’d look to see if the actual page itself gets any traffic or gets indexed. If they offer links to anyone and their pages don’t get organic traffic, I’d skip it.

Those are link farms. Wouldn't expect much from such sites.

I don't know, i have tried to contact a couple and they never respond

I think it depends on the website. Some guest posts can still be useful if the content is good and fits the topic. I would look at the quality of the site and its content before trusting it.

I'd be cautious with sites publishing guest posts across every niche just to sell links. Even with traffic, that doesn't guarantee SEO value. Relevant editorial links earned through genuine content and relationships are a safer long-term bet than buying placements based on metrics alone.

I will judge these sites by publishing patterns, not just DA DR, When a blog accepts every niche mainly to sell placements, its editorial credibility becomes questionable. A relevant article on a genuine multi-topic publication can still have value, but traffic alone does not justify the cost

I would not rely on them completely even though they may have good traffic using them for diverse niche topics will make them less relevant the relevance of the website and real audience engagement is more important than the number of DR or traffic that they have i am a novice at link building but i prefer relevance over anything else

A site covering unrelated topics can look strong in SEO tools but still have a weak audience. I'd check whether its articles attract relevant readers and fit naturally with the site's main subject before paying for a placement.

Nice point.
Check whether the website gets traffic and ranks for keywords related to your niche.

My Answer :
If a site looks spammy and has articles across all kinds of niches, but it still ranks for keywords related to yours and the guest post is really cheap, don't shy away from getting a link from it.

PS : I wouldn't worry too much about buying a few low-quality links, as Google often ignores bad links rather than penalizing your website for them. That's one reason negative SEO doesn't always work.

I will place topical relevancy ahead of general criteria.

The website that is receiving actual visitors is definitely valuable, but the factors of niche relevancy, quality of content, and natural placement of links are more important than targeting all niches.

I examine the post placement performance of links as well. some of these sites maintain all of their niches active yet the pages hardly get indexed after being published.

the problem is that i think it is much more of an issue if a site is created primarily to buy and sell links nd not for the benefit of its visitors. diversifying into a few other nicches is not bad but the lack of connection between the articles nd the non existence of any readers make the quality of their links debatable.

A site that writes content on various unrelated topics (for example, technology, fashion, cuisine, real estate - basically a hodgepodge) is always a red flag for me.

I may want to check what happens to their guest posts after they're published. A site can have decent overall traffic while its paid guest posts barely get any readers. That would make me think twice before paying for a link there.

Yeah, relevance is more important than getting links from sites with high DR or lots of traffic. I would prefer to have a backlink from a small but relevant website than from a huge website with all sorts of irrelevant content.

overall, what I prefer is the guest post part rather than the traffic coming into the site, since the traffic generated from the guest post is lesser. do you also check for the indexing of the posts?

I came across a pile of such websites, created just for making money thanks to guest posts. they are low-quality no doubt

Yes, I make sure that the guest post is indexed by Google.

Sometimes even when the referral traffic is minimal, the indexed article on a relevant, good site will still contribute to your SEO efforts.

I check the page’s relevance and its organic presence and backlinks other than just checking DR.
