hey guys,

I want to share a few simple tips for improving PPC campaign performance.

  • check keywords regularly.
  • pause ads that are not performing well.
  • test diffrent ad copies.
  • improve landing pages.
  • track conversions and ROI.
  • monitor your budget regularly.
  • small changes can help improve campaign performance over time.
What do you usually check first when optimising a PPC campaign?

I usually check search terms first because some clicks may come from people looking for something different.

Nice list, especially the part about tracking ROI. More clicks do not always mean a campaign is doing well.

I audit the Quality Score first since higher quality scores instantly lower your cost per click and save your budget.

1. Search terms
2. Asset performance - headlines & description in campaign level (or account level using mcp).
3. QS
4. TCPA/TROAS vs actual Cost/conv
5 Auction insights
6. Deep funnel events
7. Industry trends - monitor

Conversion tracking comes first for me. Without it, it's hard to know if the campaign is making money.

I review recent changes before touching anything else. a sudden drop can sometimes come from a setting that was changed by mistake.

I start by checking which devices bring the best results and adjust bids accordingly.

I usually check search terms first and see if im wasting money on irrelevant clicks.

Search terms report first — it shows what people actually searched before clicking. That's where wasted spend hides.

Search terms report is probably the first thing I open. You'd be surprised how much budget gets wasted on irrelevant searches.

For me the first thing is comparing spend against actual leads. If the numbers dont make sense, I dig into the campaign before touching anything else.

I usually check which search terms are bringing clicks but not conversions, sometimes those keywords waste most of the budget.
Yes, clicks alone won't tell you a lot. I would compare the results from the search term report to real conversions, and reduce bids on keywords that cost money but bring no conversions.

Firstly I normally examine my conversion tracking, keyword performance and wastage before adjusting my bids, advertisements and landing pages.
