Has anyone run into the same issue where the WhatsApp link on Pinterest won’t redirect?

Dude 10 seconds google, and you can see its officially whatsapp links are your problem, and your not going to find a solution, if you keep using them. Use a legit website. There are plenty of free ones to advertise your site on if your not making money and can't afford a paid domain.

I ran into it too, ngl the Pinterest app strips the wa.me link unless you add ?text=Hi and I found that disabling the link preview in the Pin editor (Settings → Link preview off) lets the redirect work, I tested with Chrome DevTools.

I’d check whether the link works when opened directly and whether Pinterest is adding a redirect or warning page. Also try a clean WhatsApp URL and test on both desktop and mobile sometimes the issue is with the link format or app handoff.
