What really matters for backlinks?

I think you should carefully select high-quality websites for backlinks rather than building them in bulk, as mass link building can backfire.

I usually check a backlink's value by looking at the linking page's indexation, organic traffic, niche relevance, site history, and overall backlink profile. Also check whether the link is live, crawlable, and ******** or nofollow.
