Hi everyone i’m new to SEO. Just finished some online courses (moz, neil) and want some advices.
Here is what’s on my mind and what i know:
1- Keyword research( using kw or serps to analyse competitors)
2- Clusters and Pillars first to avoid kannibalisation
3- meta title / description should be optimised for the primary keyword (image as well)
4 - create internal linking between posts
5 - External linking to Gain authority
I want to learn deeper and get if possible some real life scenarios(case studies) if anyone can help me learn the right way. Thanks.

Select a page from those located between 10 to 30 and analyse why the pages above yours perform better this type of analysis will teach uhh more than just blindly following an SEO checklist.

Tbh MOZ, Semrush, Ahrefs, Neil Patel and other mainstream SEOs don't teach what they are actually doing. My biggest advice: don't limit yourself to learning/reading; just try to do practical stuff. Most are free or almost free. If you have budget like $150-$200 then grab tools and deposit a few APIs like Data for SEO, KIE.ai or Open Router. Try to buy one-time tools or pay as you go since you are in a learning period.

Never ever underestimate old posts. Never ever buy fancy SEO courses; you don't need them. Also, don't fall into the so-called clean SEO trap; there is nothing like that. If you do SEO/build backlinks, it's always supposed to fall into gray hat because you are not supposed to build backlinks yourself. If you don't, then you will never be able to dominate the market and not at least in the first place will it naturally happen. That's why people do SEO and it's always a gray area. If you are new, I would suggest you search for parasitic site SEO, tiered link building, link wheels kind of strategies.

Most of my life I have spent on SEO and advertising agencies and none of them use or follow those so called white hat or Google Webmaster Guidelines strategies. If you are following only them, you are not in the real game. This forum and especially this subforum is a gold mine with a lot to learn.

Don't purchase SEO services instead do it yoself and learn if you want real results.

Great advice! Where do you suggest one to learn SEO if most or all other traditional methods "don't work"?

SEO cannot be learned in any other way than through practical experience gained by working with an active website. check out google search console nd select those page that have quite a few impressions but no click nd see how you can improve their content nd linking. It is gud to go through tutorials, but you learn best through the results of your work.

u have definitely got the basics covered.i believe creating a website nd monitoring it on search console will help you learn a lot more than any coursses ever can. have u ranked ur own website before?

You Are on the right track I’d suggest working on real websites doing SEO audits and tracking keyword rankings over time Practical experience and case studies will help you understand what actually works

Pick a page with impressions but few clicks, improve its title and content, and track the results in Search Console.

You’ve already covered the basics well!

I’d suggest working on a real website, focusing on search intent, technical SEO, content optimization and relevant backlinks.

Track your progress through Google Search Console and Ahrefs or Semrush real experiments and competitor analysis will teach you more than courses alone.

You are on the right track. I would suggest learning more about search intent, technical SEO, and content optimization. Try applying what you have learned to a real website and track its performance in Google Search Console. Hands-on experience and testing different strategies will help you improve much faster.

I would suggest learning technical SEO next and practicing on real websites to understand how to fix common issues.

You have a great starting point i would recommend adding technical SEO search intent and Google Search Console to your studies test out some of these ideas on a small site and see how it evolves over time experience can sometimes teach more than theory can

Most published case studies come from software vendors like Ahrefs, they use their own projects as examples
and their data is transparent

You’re on the right track—focus on search intent and useful content, then use Search Console to see what works.

You’ve got a good foundation. so focus next on search intent, technical SEO, and learning how to analyze competitors pages that actually rank. Try applying what you learn to one website, track rankings and organic traffic in Search Console will be more effective
