how long do you wait before judging a backlink?

We check index rate at 2 weeks, 3 weeks and 1 month after the order. Anything not indexed after a month we treat as dead. For us the first real number is the index rate, not the ranking, because we only count indexed links.

I usually wait for more than a month before evaluating whether a backlink is effective.
