Which Traffic Sources Are Best for a Blog?

Ranking on Google and getting clicks are two different things now. Pew found just 8% of searches with AI Overviews led to a normal result click, vs 15% without. I'd focus on content Google can't summarize in one box.
8% clicks on your website with AIO, 15% not, and the rest of the 73% ???? Goes to the abyss or to the universe....???

it's not one pie chart. 8% clicked with AIO, 15% without it. most just kept searching or bounced. even the links inside the AI answer got barely 1%.

Hey guys,

I want to get traffic to my blog and would like to know which sources are best. I am new to blogs so, currently my all focus on content quality.

Should I focus on Google SEO, Pinterest, Reddit, or social media? Which ones have worked best for you?

Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks!
I will focus on the SEO for the long term traffic and will use Pinterest or some other social media according to the niche. Reddit can be helpful too if I participate in the relevant forums.

SEO can bring steady long-term traffic, while Pinterest and social media help attract visitors earlier.

In my opinion, SEO should be your first choice in terms of the traffic for future growth. Also it makes sense to try Pinterest or any other social network depending on the niche. Reddit may be useful as well, if you participate in appropriate discussion forums.

focus on Google SEO for long term organic traffic while using Pinterest or social media to bring in visitors early on The best choice also depends on your niche and where your audience spends time.

I’d focus on SEO first while sharing your posts on social media SEO takes time but it can bring steady traffic in the long run Pinterest can also work well depending on your niche so I’d test it alongside SEO

I’d start with seo as a long-term strategy and share each new post on one social platform that fits the blog’s niche. pinterest can work well for visual topics, while reddit is best approached by genuinely helping in relevant communities rather than just dropping links.

paid traffic is the best no matter what others tell you
if you have a solid blog just invest some time and money into it

I would focus on seo use Pinterest or social media for additional traffic SEO doesn't work overnight so don't rely solely on Google

I’d focus on SEO first and use Pinterest or social media to bring in extra traffic while the blog grows.

8% clicks on the link source the ai overview shows, 15% not, and the rest of the other 73% ??? Go to nowhere in the universe or the
abyss ? wtf........?

I would focus on Google SEO for long-term traffic, but don't depend on Google alone. Pinterest is also a good option for blogs, especially for beauty, travel and lifestyle topics. Start with SEO and one more traffic source, then use GA4 to check which one brings better visitors.

In my opinion, SEO is one of the best traffic sources for a blog.
But still, it can take time to see results, especially for a new website.

Social media and Pinterest can help bring traffic while you're waiting for organic rankings to grow. It works best when you choose platforms that match your niche and target audience.

Blog traffics source depend on the target niche, there are chances ti get traffics with backlinks and guest post pages including social media presence to share update of later blog page post for app users to engage and redirect on blog page for complete reading.

SEO is key here. Continuously provide great content google will give you consistent traffic over time Pinterest can be brilliant If you have a visual niche then Pinterest is a great tool but also use Reddit and socials to really engage with your target audience Start off with using one main source and experiment with another to see which source will work best for your blog

Uffff what a drop, hard times we have now........I wish you the best, when you in the right niche my advice is use IG +DM system to make sales...(organic).

Here an example of organic high ranking blog who are not dead because of ai overview:

Zen Habits (1 mio. visitors every month!) and always yes; Seths.blog (Seth Godin) what you learn from this?
Zen Habits is on youtube and IG that's all, he link in reels to his blog (not clickable)

I hope you will learn form these blog site structures which is an important seo factor too (a second indirect factor)
Note: Semrush and Ahrefs have own spy bots who visiting every selfhost wordpress site! (exclude wordpress.com they block it!)
