how do you convert reddit traffic? for example, how do you use reddit to drive users to a website? do you just drop a direct link?
doesn't that get you banned or cause your post to be deleted? how isd it even possible to drive traffic without direct linking? because if you say you drive traffic to your eeddit profile and redirect them from there, that seems highly inefficient.

There’s more than one way to go at it, some people post content to entice getting contacted through DMs for example, and then funnel through there. If you’ve got a farm of accounts you can also easily steer a narrative a certain way.

Reddit is entirely a different platform as here trust matters not the promotion. Firstly, focus on building trust. Choose subreddit based on your niche and where relavnt discussion is going on and then participate in discussion, build credibility with genuine answers and posts. Completely avoid spammy links and be transparent regarding your affiliations. Once you build reputation on reddit, conversions with automatically follow.

Direct links will get your post removed or account shadowbanned almost instantly on most subreddits. the usual flow is either building karma first and leaving soft mentions/links in relevant comments, or linking a pinned post/landing page on your profile and directing users there through dms

aged accounts def matter more now, reddit checks account age and behavior patterns heavy. even with soft links if youre running a farm from same IPs or proxies itll catch fast, gotta actually mix it or use real ip rotations

You can't reliably convert Reddit traffic without a dedicated bridge; I use Zapier's webhook to push new posts into Mailchimp, staying under Reddit's API 60 requests/min limit.

If you find the answer please let me know

Best converting reddit traffic seems to involve answering the actual problem that they have and then linking once they allow it in the subreddit redirecting through a profile seems like extra friction so id track the clicks first to see if its worth it

First and foremost, become a regular member of that sub and genuinely do helpful content for months, then start posting your links very slowly, and only 10-15% of promotional content should be there.

Post relevant content and add a link in the comments when it adds value, keep it under two links per day to avoid mod flags.

Try focus on giving genuinely useful answers first and only drop a link when it adds value and the subreddit allows it.

Some subs are fine with direct links, others aren't. Check the rules before posting, and don't turn every comment into a promotion.

Post your link only in the subreddit's weekly self-promo thread and keep it to one link per post because mods only allow links there, so you stay safe.

The best approach is to answer questions genuinely and share a link only when it adds value and the subreddit allows it. Some communities permit helpful resource links, while others restrict promotion. Focus on being useful first, and let relevant traffic follow naturally.

You also need to read each subreddit's rules since some state that restrict direct or any other links/promotions.
