Basically, a Semrush for AI chat bots.

A Tool you could use to research keywords or queries the way we do conventional keyword research for Google.

Currently There Is No Single Direct Equivalent To Semrush For AI Search Engines Like ChatGPT Or Perplexity But We Extract AI Query Intent Using Custom Prompt Tracking Tools SearchGPT Entity Mapping Features And Direct API Monitoring To Track Brand Citations And Recommended Queries Safely.

Do these AI search engines provide this data? If they don't, how does the 'custom prompt' tracking work?

They dont, as far as anyone has shown, which is why none of these tools can give you a volume number the way the Google tools do.

What VortixRank describes is the only thing possible without that data: you write the prompts you think buyers use, run them on a schedule, and log who gets named. It tells you share of mentions for your own list of prompts, not how many people asked.

The nearest thing to demand data I’ve found is boring: the question-shaped queries in Search Console and the followup questions the chatbots suggest under their own answers which at least come from the engine rather than from my guess.

Are you after the volume, or just which questions people ask the bots in your niche? The second is doable, the first I don’t think exists yet.

As far as I know, no single tool acts as a 1:1 "Semrush for LLMs" yet, OpenAI & Anthropic don't release public search volume APIs. for now, GEO tools like Profound focus on tracking whether ur links get cited in AI responses, u can give it a try

Tools like Profound and Peec AI track brand visibility in AI answers, while AlsoAsked helps explore related questions. For keyword research, I'd compare how each handles prompt discovery and competitor mentions, since AI search data is still less standardized than Google keyword volumes.

Since the information on users' queries are not being made public, how do these platforms ensure their data is accurate?

Traditional SEO tools help with keyword research, but AI search needs a different approach. Focus on conversational queries, user intent, and AI visibility tools to track brand mentions and citations in ChatGPT and Perplexity.

AI tools have infinite search volume and no web index. So, they keep showing the site as many times as someone searches for it. You can only manually check whether AI knows about a brand and how much it knows. You can check Google's AI overviews from GSC as they collect this data. Other AI tools don't bother about it as it costs them a lot for data retrieval & storage only to help 3rd-party tools to sell it.

One thing to check before paying for these tools is how they choose the prompts they track. If the list is based on guesses, the visibility scores might look useful but won't really show what people are asking.
