Can Writing About Similar Topics Too Often Hurt SEO?

i think similar topics are fine as long as each post answers a diffrent question or search intent. if two posts cover almost the same thing and compete for the same keywords then you should consider combining them into one stronger article. i usually check their performance in google search console before deciding because not every similar topic needs to be merged

If they can be answered in the same post, go for it

Hi guys
when writing blog posts, sometimes I end up covering topic that are quite similar to my older articles. can this cause any SEO problems over time? do you usually combine similar posts or keep them seprate if they cover slightly diffrent things.
I've run into this too. I think the key is whether each article serves a genuinely different search intent. If two posts answer basically the same question, I'd consider combining them rather than competing with myself in search results. But if they target different needs, keeping them separate makes sense.

I will look into the key queries that each posting seeks to resolve. In case they are almost identical, combining them will be helpful. Otherwise, there is no harm in retaining both.

Do these posts target different search intents, or could one Google query cover them all? If the intent differs, keep them and interlink; if it overlaps, merge them into one stronger post.
