Yes, just the biography of an author will not affect any ranking, but if a person is experienced, the user will be assured of the credibility of the contents. I would also use sources and keep the about/contact page credible."

about page more about building trust than directly improving rankings. explaining who runs site and why they know the subject gives visitors more confidence in what they read.with so much generic content online now that personal background can help a site stand out.
About page is more about trust than direct rankings. It helps visitors and also crawlers understand who is behind the website and why they should trust it. Add real details about the business, experience and team instead of writing generic content just to fill the page. It wont fix bad SEO, but it can help make the whole website look more legit. in short; Its a direct factor in AI SEO Optimization, a pure EEAT signal.

i think an about page is stilll imp for seo because it helps people understand who is behind the website and why they should trust it. it may not directly improve rankings but sharing real experience, company details and what makes your website diffrent can helo build trust with visitors.

An about page in my opinion is helpful for establishing trust as the page introduces the people and company running the site and their products or services the About page does not directly increase a sites ranking although detailed information on the business and its credibility would contribute to the entire experience for the user
