Exactly a week ago, I bought an AWS account (free trial, $100 credits) from a BHW marketplace vendor, and were supplied credentials, but I couldn’t get into the console because of 2FA which I lacked access to, but the access key ID worked, which was what I needed.

Today, I tried using its access key, and it returned InvalidAccessKey. Is this typically normal? As in the vendor rotates credentials because these accounts are intended to be used short-term? Or the account was banned? Or the vendor deleted it? I’m not sure what happened.

Pretty normal with bought trial accounts. Without the root email and 2FA, the seller or AWS can kill the keys any time. Open a dispute with the vendor while it is still fresh.

The account is probably banned by Aws systems. You can ask the seller if they can compansate it. Did you follow the required steps when accessing the account such as using antidetect browser, same cookies, accessing with a reliable proxy from the region where account created? Otherwise, make sure you take those steps next time.

To begin with, establish the exact cause of your suspension by talking to AWS technical support team, as your problem might go beyond your IP address alone. Secondly, ask the seller to provide you with another copy or issue a refund to you.

This could happen if the vendor revoked access or the AWS account was suspended. Contact the vendor first and avoid using the access key until you confirm the account status with AWS support.
