Facebook Ad Account Restricted 4 Years Ago

A few years ago my ad account was restricted for what seems to be no reason... i never ran any sort of ads.. i think i had one ad that was launched for a very compliant business. Anyways, I stopped using Facebook period.. including the ad account and never noticed that I had it restricted so my 180 day appeal window ended years ago..

I tried running an ad recently for a new business and of course I cant, and because its past a few years, I cant even appeal and it seems like im shit out of luck.

Does anyone have any pull with Facebook or thoughts on what I can do to get it back.. I really dont want to try to circumvent Facebook with some sort of new account or blackhat shit..

Using a separate account to run ads is a good idea. As long as your ads comply with the platform’s policies, they should have a much better chance of getting approved.
 
I dont have a separate account and dont want to play the game of 'warming up' an account just to circumvent the ad restriction on my main personal account.. looking ideally for a solution to lift the restrictions on my existing account.. but i think the only way is to know someone at Facebook who can actually help put it in front of the right doers.
 
Once an ad account hits that permanent restriction state past the appeal window support wont lift it, so your best option without going blackhat is just opening a fresh business manager under a real family member profile and starting clean.
 
Try contacting Meta Business Support and request a manual review, explaining the restriction happened years ago. If the appeal window is closed, recovery may be difficult, so ask support about legitimate options before taking further steps.

it is rather frustrating, particularly when u did not really utilize the ad account. perhaps, u might want to contact meta’s customer support service to see if they could manually look into ur old restriction desspite the fact that the appeal period already lapsed. did u check if there’s still any way to reach out to the support service through business Manager?

with your case, non-appealable restrictions past 100 days are practically impossible to revive, even through internal Meta contacts. Meta's automated database auto-archives those flags. u don't have to go full blackhat to fix this. the cleanest whitehat workaround is asking a biz partner to setup a new BM pro5, add u as an admin and run your ads through a clean payment card and domain mate
 
Have you checked whether the restriction is on your personal profile, ad account, or Business Manager? The recovery options may differ depending on what's actually restricted. I'd identify that first, then contact Meta support with the exact restriction details.
 
If Business Support Home offers a contact-support option, send the account ID and restriction screenshots. Ask whether any review route remains after the deadline. An expired appeal doesn’t have a guaranteed reopening process.
 
Based on what you’ve described, it sounds like your Facebook ad account can’t be recovered. I think the quickest option is to set up a new ad account.
 
At the moment, it is very difficult to recover it. It would be better to try using a different account.

I think im fucked lol.. time to use my wifes facebook account.. Just annoying honestly.
 
Let a laywer write a letter to Facebook. That's how I got my Facebook account unbanned and my merchant center account at Google too. That's how it goes these days.
