the first challenge of guest blogging is that it will take some time to look for the relevant blogs to contribute to.if the process will simply involve pittching the same message to thousands of blogs then the outcomes may not be very good.i prefer publishing few blog articles on blogs that really fit my niche.
i see if any website ranks for anything in my niche prior to buying a guest post on them some high DR sites show up well in tools but deliver no value at all.
Guest posting still works IMO but Ive seen links from smaller, niche oriented blogs make more sense than some large blogs who will post anything for money

Guest posting still has a place in SEO when you’re getting in front of the right audience and publishing something useful instead of chasing DR and pumping out links just for the sake of it.
guest posting seems to have more values if the content can generates the referral traffic all by itself and since nobody will visit the blog anyway, i might as well invest elsewhere
