Are too many 'newbie' accounts doing 'Hire a Freelancer' and 'Want to buy" posts on BlackHatWorld?

The new system for hiring is awesome.

It's way more organized.

But due to Ai is it time to regulate who can post in Hire a Freelancer and Want to Buy?

I've noticed there's a trend of newbiews trying to get 'sample work' done free and this is an easy way to scam sellers of their services

I just had a guy ask for something then claim it's not visible for him.....but I know it's visible as I've checked without logging in to the platform and the post has 'views'

If ghosted, you get 1 view.

But the fact he said that and asked for a second one, free............says it all because he's asking for this service and claims he'll pay in 48 hours

Newbie accounts seem to be pulling this type of nonsense more often.

Thoughts? Anybody experiencing such things?

I'm moving this over to suggestions and feedback. I think this is a valid discussion and I don't want to lose it in the sea of the lounge.

Do you have some examples of threads that you're concerned about? You can either post them here or send them via DM/Support ticket. I'd appreciate it!

You're welcome to post any screen shots for other sellers, if you like. But it's not necessary.

How many of these have you had so far?

I get people daily contacting me about things like this but many times they do try to bypass posting, they just seem to scrape contacts

I've seen multiple posts like this however.

I ALWAYS decline but because of the organized format of the post I decided to give this one a try b/c I just launched my new platform .

It seems to be exactly what i expected

I think you are referring to my post about hiring a freelancer. Well, it was a misunderstanding. I'm not here to get free work done and btw my account is older than yours. I made it in 2017. Instead of jumping onto conclusion and creating a thread here you could wait for my response. :p Even for that comment I will pay you $35 but I guess I won't post the screenshot here. I will DM you the screenshot. So, this is what happened:

1. This guy Dm'ed me asking he can help me post the comment for agreed price of $35.

2. I said yes and gave him the comment he need to post.

3. He did the work and shared the screenshot.

4. I opened the post and due to unknown reasons, I could not see his comment, and I thought it got deleted. It is not unusual for the comments to get deleted from Reddit (specially the comments with links).

5. He replied and said comment is visible, but he did not wait for my response and created a post here.

6. Yes, I can see his comment now and I will pay for the comment as well.

Always open to hearing the misunderstanding

But this is the new norm here on BHW.

It's not good to hire people then say you dont see their work

If you've been here since 2017 you should be able to easily find a public Reddit comment ..... on a post with like 10 comments

I dont get how you'd miss it to be honest.

I had associates test and they found it first try.

Then to ask for another comment free right after denying pay for the first . . . . . ? ? ? ?

I've held a reputation here and many of the old school forums since far before I registered here.

And my first account on BHW was lost. I browsed BHW long before doing business here.

It's not a 'senority' battle though.

If you made a mistake, it's fine. We all do. At least you did the right thing and own it and move forward. Many people are doing this type of scheme however and not paying a dime.

Can't be a professional hiring people then say you dont see their work

Dude I accepted that I didn’t see the comment. You could at least wait for my response instead of creating a post here. And you can always delete that comment. It is not like I’m holding a gun to your head and asking you to post the new comment. After giving the clarification wait for my reply instead of public shaming. You are still free to delete the comment you posted and we can move on.

If i did the job correctly, should I not be compensated?

Or do you not care to pay is what you're saying ... under a thin veil? with an excuse to justify your previous wrong doing?

I give you credit for owning your your mistake . Totally respected. But the right thing to do is clear.

If you made a mistake, why be offended someone reacts to it appropriately for being denied pay?

Said without trying to offend. Just I'm not the type to beg someone to fix themselves.

If we're doing business, the goal is to make money. You and I both. All the emotion should be left out.

I will definitely pay as per agreed terms. I'm not saying I won't pay, but if you think I'm not professional enough to work with then, yes you can delete that comment from the post.
