I’d keep short films and related extras, like behind-the-scenes footage, together. If the random videos target different viewers, I’d put them on a second channel.

I think you should separate them into two distinct channels. having a consistent theme will make a channel appear more professional.

separate them for sure. if you mix random videos with short films your audience will get confused and stop watching, which completely kills your watch time metrics. better to keep the main channel clean and put the random stuff on a secondary channel

creating of YouTube channel needs having experiences on making good video content in target niche to trend and upload on target keyword register channel to get engage and views with subscribers to earn from the pool after monetize approval.

Definitely keep short films on a dedicated channel so you don't mess up your subscriber base and audience retention then put random vlogs or extra content on a separate channel.
