Still possible to get a Backlink from Vimeo?

Hello guys,

In the last months I was able to get a backlink from Vimeo [.] com BUT now, it looks is not possible any more...

I know is N0Follow, but I still would like to get it.

Do you know is still possible?

Because your comment sounds good but when I do it, the link does not show up, even on the videos.
 
check your profile settings and video description options since those are the more natural places to link your website. keep in mind that even if you manage to get the link it’s usually nofollow so I wouldn’t expect much direct SEO value from it.
 
depends where you were adding it. vimeo still allows website links on profile pages, but that feature is only available on plus plans and above. you can also add links in video descriptions, so they haven't completely removed external linking. were you trying to get a profile backlink or one from a video page?
 
Almost paid for Vimeo Plus just to get that profile link. linda held's note that it's gated to Plus plans, plus Skyler001's line that everything comes out nofollow anyway, talked me right out of it.
 
Have you tried adding your website link to your Vimeo profile or video description?

Do you think that I have not tried on those places? Why you don't restraint for comments if you don't know what you are talking about?

vimeo could have changed the way those link appear or are saved, can not tell for sure without testing; did it do the same trick for you? Did you create a new account or is the link gone from the old ones too?
 
Vimeo profile and video links may still be possible, but the available options can change with platform updates and account settings.

Check the profile and video description fields and focus on adding a relevant link naturally rather than chasing the nofollow backlink alone.

Yes, but only if it is relevant for your niche. I would rather see it as a brand visibility tactic and referral traffic generator than rely on the link alone.

Vimeo may have changed how external links work so it’s worth checking whether the option is still available on different account types

Even if the link is nofollow it could still bring some referral traffic
