I am not a link builder or seller, but in my knowledge can't you use Ahrefs or Semrush on any websites/blogs you want to get links from? Can any of us prove that we are credible link builder? How can I prove that I only choose relevant and AI rankings related links for my clients. Is there any metrics or platform for that?

What if we can log our links somewhere before they go live and record them after they go live. It can be our proof that we built that link for target url.You can build credibility by sharing case studies, a portfolio of completed placements, and real client results. Show sample sites with their traffic, niche relevance, and the type of content where the links appear. For AI visibility, track brand mentions and citations before and after the placements. There’s no single metric that proves a link is good, so combine these details with ranking improvements, organic traffic growth, and client feedback.
I fully agree, DR alone is not that significant without context and traffic trends. A case study that shows what was changed, the starting point, and the end result within 3-6 months will be much more compelling than screenshots from tools. The best proof is a transparent case study showing referring domains, topical relevance, traffic trends, and results over time. Tools like Ahrefs or Semrush help with reporting, but real client outcomes matter more than any single metric.
Yeah, that’s a good. You could maintain a record of each placement before and after it goes live, including the target URL, referring page, anchor text, niche relevance, and traffic metrics. It would give clients a clear record of the work completed. What if we can log our links somewhere before they go live and record them after they go live. But you need GSC access for that, right? How will you manage that?I fully agree, DR alone is not that significant without context and traffic trends. These days, to prove to my clients that I'm a credible link builder I'd keep DA/DR as secondary metrics and focus mainly on relevance and natural looking link building.
