Which Traffic Sources Are Best for a Blog?

Combine Google SEO and Pinterest for long term, evergreen search traffic, while using Reddit for immediate validation and short term traffic spikes.

Hey guys,

I want to get traffic to my blog and would like to know which sources are best. I am new to blogs so, currently my all focus on content quality.

Should I focus on Google SEO, Pinterest, Reddit, or social media? Which ones have worked best for you?

Would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks!
it seems like i would research any existing forums or discussions related to the subject before picking the channel to join.if there are any existing communities related to ur specialty, they may serve as a good place to start. SEO will devellop on its own while u learn which content to click on.

dont try to cover your self in all the available platforms trying to find out where ur topic is discussed by the people and see if your posts drive real traffic to the blog

start with sharing useful content couple of other platforms too.google bring steady visitors over time but pinterest or social media may help you get some early clicks.once you see where people actually come from you can put more effort into the sources that work for your niche.

OK. Do this instead.
Just focus on SEO and Instagram to start with.(Why Insta - as in 2026 -it works for almost all niche)

Don't try to manage Reddit, Pinterest, Facebook, X, and every other platform at the same time.

If you focus properly on Instagram and learn how to drive traffic from it, you'll likely get better results than spreading yourself too thin across multiple platforms.

For Instagram, create content related to your blog's niche, test different formats, and pay attention to which posts bring profile visits and clicks to your website. Then create more of the content that works.

You can always repost the same content on X, Facebook, and Pinterest when you have time, but I wouldn't make them your main focus initially.

If I were in your position, I would focus on just two channels: Google SEO for long-term organic traffic and Instagram for social traffic. Once these two are working well, you can expand to other platforms.

Hope it helps :)

focus on SEO first while sharing your best articles on Pinterest or relevant communities. Choose the platforms where your target, and make sure your content actually helps people. :)

First concentrate on useful information and SEO. Then Pinterest, Reddit or social media where your target market can be found.

Don’t try every platform at once. Pick one traffic source that matches your audience and combine it with basic SEO. Consistency and understanding where your readers spend time matter more than being active everywhere.

i would also examine how people find similar blogs in ur niche.sometimes a couple of relevant communities could attract more potential readers than randomly putting urself out there. SEO is deffinitely something that could be done behind the scenes but it will take some time to show its effect.

I wouldn't depend on one traffic source alone Build SEO foundations repurpose articles for social media track referral traffic and invest more effort in channels showing results

Your first thing is very good that you are focusing on quality of content and never compromise on it ever. This is the base and strength of your blog. I suggest you to focus first on google SEO and then adding other social media platforms, pinterest according to your niche. There is no need to active on every platform at once. As you say you are focusing on content quality so the next step is to make sure that people can discover your content. Try to improve your content so that it can be helpful for the audience and satisfy them. Satisfying audience actually leads to traffic and growth.

I would start with Google Seo and use one other platform depending on the niche.

I’d prioritize Google SEO and use Pinterest as a secondary traffic source. SEO takes time to build momentum, so sharing valuable content on social media can help attract visitors while you wait for organic traffic to grow.

Both Google SEO and Pinterest are the best for a new blog. Google SEO will keep you getting daily traffic for a long time if you write articles on low-competition keywords. Pinterest also brings traffic to a new blog very quickly, especially if your topic is lifestyle, food, travel, fashion, etc. Traffic also comes from Facebook, but it is temporary and the links are deleted quickly. It is very important to focus on SEO to bring more people to your blog. Write good and informative content so that people can reach your blog while searching on Google. Along with this, share your post on Pinterest and social media. Traffic can also be gained by providing useful information on related topics on Reddit. The most important thing is to work consistently. Over time, traffic to your blog will increase.

I wonder why Alex Hormozi is on all social plattforms- he not target a specific audience- because content for b2b audiences, Bluestack and Twitter not works well to use that organic traffic and followers as distributor to spread his content through the web or his youtube videos, Linkedin+ IG +FB works well . But my preference is to make sales on IG+FB + LI on each, not send them to my youtube channel as distributors.........

Not forget, Hormozi has money, capital, he has a team who do all this daily bulk batch content work, especial his enormous 245 video shorts to youtube every week.
