Why are people charge $30 for Reddit comment & $100 for post services now? Rebranding services as 'brand mentions' etc to sound fancy

Why are people overcharging for reddit services now?

Somebody asked me for $150 for 5 reddit mentions in comments. Thats $30 a comment.

I'm not mad at them for trying but I know a working platform selling comments for $3-$5 and if post doesn't stick for 10 days you get a refund.

Is the reddit market just saturated now with people desperate for money or is this just the going rate?

And you can tell who's 'scalping' because there's this new "Give me 4-5 days to do this" line. Reddit is instant . Why are people asking for 5 days to get a post done?

I do believe QUALITY has a price but just a general comment / brand mention for $30. Is that the new going rate?

And i wasn't looking for someone, they actually just messaged me and since I can't wear 5 hats... for my new project. i was willing to give them an opportunity but being as i started the niche of reddit marketing and google news marketing back in like 20XX .......... It just intrigues me how people get this off

Reddit Market is cooked. When i started providing services in 2017/18 , there were hardly any sellers , even when i joined BHW there were only handful service providers for Reddit.

Now everyone & their cousin is providing Reddit services. Cracked accs ,logs being sold as aged accs with no guarantees & organically farmed for above $50. $30 a comment or $3 a comment, same problem. one side is calling basic comments "brand mentions" to charge more, the other is spamming burner accounts that dont stick.

Your account says you registered in 2021 ?

In 2017/2018 there was only upvote services on BHW. And there was only 1 pure provider.

And I doubt you're that guy. What name did you operate under in 2017/2018?

I've only seen 1 group seemingly be able to operate in high risk reddit right now....

I told everyone the costs would go up.. which i agree.. they should in the current state of things but i also think what I didn't see is that 99% of people can't figure out how to manipulate the system right now.

And most people selling services can't keep a post / comment up... they can barely keep an account alive

But even with that said.. $30 for a comment, rebranded as a 'brand mention' is amazing profit considering real panels that work only charge $3-$5

I joined BHW later.

What groups were you on?

I used to be on most of the main forums. Digipoint, WickedFire.

I started my services on WF . Legendary days of internet marketing

I am really curious where did you find working providers that are willing to sell $3-$5 for a comment even with the link on and no promotional filters.

I agree that $30 is way too much for a comment. In my opinion the a fair price for all of these would be $10 comment, $15 post, and $0.2/upvote

The market is cooked dude. I'm literally offering $20 per post on HAF/WTB this very moment and I am unable to find a single freelancer that's capable of accommodating this request. I'm not even asking for a long-time stickiness guarantee, only that they stick around for 24 hours. Yet still nothing but crickets. Reddit after this summer's update is basically a completely different platform.

Tbh, people started calling everything a “brand mention” because it sounds like SEO strategy instead of paid placement, but the label doesn't magically create value

Details soon. I've had a few professional convos on this biz niche lately recently and to me it seems we're in an moment where people who don't value information will lose their business and only the strong/smartest will survive

I believe it.

Yup. That's what I think. And I also look at how many people are just resellers with no idea of how to work with reddit
