Hey guys,

Do you post the same video across all three platforms or customize it for each one?
Which strategy gives better organic reach and engagement in your experience?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and real results!

I’d reuse the core video but adjust the hook, caption and format for each platform. It saves time while letting you see which version gets better watch time and shares.

I’d post the same video on all three platforms to save time. But make a few small changes depending on what each platform needs. No point making three completely different videos if one can work on all three, right?

If you want to save time, then yes you should not change the video in any way. Organic reach is gained if you have a great hook, to capture your audience's first 3 seconds of watching time and then high quality of content so they continue watching. IMO if you post the same video in all platforms is optimal since they don't cross check each other, mearning your content is viewed as "original" in all of them.

Cross-posting saves time but it can still affect your reach from what I've seen. Platforms seem to catch reused content pretty quick now. I always remove watermarks especially the tiktok logo since Instagram can push those Reels down. I usually wait a couple days before posting the same thing on another app, just to be safe. Adding the audio directly in each app helps too

Post the same video but tweak the caption and hook for each platform.

caption tweaks are the least important part of this imo. what actually kills reach is burned in text, tiktok and reels put their ui in different spots so your text or cta ends up sitting under the buttons on one of them and people just swipe. i post the same file on all 3 now, only thing i change is keeping the text in the middle safe zone

keeping the same video and just tweaking it for each platform makes a lot of sense. Testing different versions is a good way to see what works best.

I'd use the same base video and tailor it for each platform. Adjust the hook, caption, text on screen and the CTA to suit the way people consume content on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Upload natively (no watermarks).

It saves time and makes the content feel more natural to each audience. I'd try both approaches and then compare watch time, retention, shares and saves rather than just views.

Try use the same core video across all three, but remove watermarks and tweak the hook, caption, and format for each platform.

Saves time while keeping it native. No point making three separate videos unless the data shows one platform needs a different approach.

Reposting cross platform is fine, slight metadata scramble should be more than enough. If you’re reposting through multiple accounts across those platforms make sure they’re all running isolated.

That makes sense. Cross-posting can save time, but I think the content and how it fits each platform still matter a lot. Have you noticed any difference in reach when tweaking the metadata?

using one main video for all three save lot of time but still make small changes for each platform.the opening and caption can be adjusted based how people consume content there while keeping most video the same. if the results show one platform needs a different style then you can adapt more from there.

I think that’s the smartest approach. Start with small changes and see how each platform responds before putting in extra work.

Yes, recycling one primary video saves time without affecting reach. I would simply alter the first few seconds and the captions for each individual social network and then base future alterations on the data from engagement.

keep main video same but change small things for each platform.the hook and footage can stay but captions timing and the opening text may need tweaking since people behave differently on tiktok reels and shorts.it saves time without making every post feel like straight copy.

Yeah, it's true, one master editing sesion really does save time, but little tweaks specific to each platform may go a long way. I would measure retention and watch times on each platform to see what works.
