im trying to understand how this seemingly new youtube channel blew up with pretty underwhelming content.

https://www.youtube.com/@dayonefilmsofficial

I know normally some creators purchase old accounts with an existing subscriber base and just upload new videos to them while deleting the old ones but this one seems to have a relatively new account that was created back in September. Yet they still blew up even though it was a completely fresh account.

Good find
The videos are about 4mins or less. I wonder how long form would do on this channel
They also have a skool course teaching their strategy too

I’ve seen new channels gain traction quickly when they find a format that people respond to. The content doesn't necessarily have to be exceptional, it just needs to hold viewers' attention and encourage them to watch more.

The thumbnail design is quite intriguing. I think this channel will appeal strongly to younger audiences. Thumbnails like these can easily tempt children to click and watch the videos.

It's youtube seo, not that hard to do. Steven Thompson, Sunny Lenarduzzi, they all doing yt seo.

By the way create a 4-5 minute faceless video (shorts and reels fail because platforms not favors it anymore) , have an animated slide every minute or 2 slides every minutes, check it with these free trial video AI's you must pay a lot of credits every month (money) it's not a cheap way to make money. Most of you not realize it how much these video AI tools cost every month.....

IG, Facebook, Tiktok now throttling organic reach for faceless videos.......

Yeah great hooks plus retaining viewers' attention is what's working the best nowadays.

Let me tell you something a new YouTube channel can grow fast without buying an old account. If its videos attract clicks and keep viewers watching YouTube can recommend them to a wider audience external promotion or an existing audience elsewhere could also explain the growth. The key is to investigate where the views are coming from before assuming anything suspicious

And how a yt video attracts the right viewers ?

A fresh channel can still reach new viewers through recommendations. One breakout upload could explain the jump, but without the creator’s traffic sources and retention data, the exact cause remains speculation.

They often produce videos that are around four minutes long, which I find quite effective. By incorporating AI technology into these videos, they are able to capture viewers' attention very quickly. I suspect this might be due to them running advertisements or utilizing YouTube SEO, which allows for rapid and effective reach though the costs involved are quite high.

I think every topic has its own specific audience. since there aren't many channels like these, there isn't much competition, so the view counts are actually quite decent.

Youtube seo hard to understand ?

The content is quite fresh, and I haven’t seen many people doing this. The thumbnail designs are also pretty interesting. I think these are some of the reasons why the channel is growing so well.

Yes good image with your face on and yt seo will help you...

Their channel’s growth could be due to factors like their video posting frequency, the performance of their Shorts, and the presence of viral videos. Even a new channel can grow rapidly if a few of its videos achieve high audience retention and are widely recommended by YouTube.

Channels who grow quickly like Steve Thompson , they doing yt seo, they not going viral.

A new channel doesn’t necessarily mean a new creator. They might already have an audience elsewhere, or they're just good at Youtube seo, like picking the right keywords, titles and thumbnails.
