I'm interested in learning more about the different AI coding assistants available today.

When choosing a tool for coding projects, which factors matter most to you?

For example:
- Code quality and reliability
- Support for different models and API providers
- Context window and handling of large projects
- Pricing and usage limits
- IDE and terminal integration

I'm particularly interested in tools that allow users to configure their own API endpoints.

Which tools or features would you recommend, and why? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Just pick any of the most popular ones right now and give them a try. Each one meets your requirements. I personally use opencode

Being able to use your own API endpoint is a big plus I’d also check how easly the tool handles bigger projects without losing track of the code

The biggest things for me are code quality and how well it handles bigger projects. Context window matters a lot once the codebase gets large. I also prefer tools that let me plug in my own API keys so I'm not locked into one provider. Hence, cursor is still my main one cause of the IDE feel and flexibility

Yeah opencode is the best tool for this job!
